You’re my sun and my clear sky

There will be no sunlight and clear skies if I lose you,” A verse from a Bruno Mars song that plays on repeat in my mind…

As the days elapse with you by my side, I can’t lie to myself about the fear that grips my heart. I have never feared anything as significant as this. You are, without exaggeration, my whole world — the source of all my joys.

Your tender care transcends everything, from the calming tones of your voice to the sweetest gestures, making me feel like the luckiest person alive. Hell, I’m the luckiest woman.

But circumstances are as unclear as cloudy skies about to unleash a storm, threatening to ruin the brightest scenery. People say rain isn’t always bad, that it can cleanse everything and allow for a new beginning. But what if I don’t want a new beginning? What if I solely want you in this world? Because I do. I only want you, my love.

The thought of losing you is unbearable. Without you, there would be no light, no clear skies, as Bruno said it — only an endless, suffocating darkness. You are my anchor, my sanctuary, my everything. And the idea of facing a future without you feels like being cast adrift in a stormy sea, with no hope of ever finding shore again.

But I believe in the power of our love to weather any storm, to endure and grow stronger — to have that sunlight and clear sky. You’re my sun and my clear sky.
