You’re my bridge while it’s raining

It was just the other day when I was engaged in a conversation with someone about you. I was desperately trying to articulate the magnitude of my attachment towards you by expressing the purest form of affection that one person can have for another. I was determined to find the exact words that would encapsulate the depth of my feelings for you. However, it was an arduous task, and I struggled to find the right adjective that could truly convey the intensity of our connection. Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t find a sentence that would do justice to my love and admiration for you.

The memory of that night is etched in my mind like a painting. It was a dark and dreary evening, and I was driving alone on a desolate road back to return home. The rain was pelting down relentlessly, hitting the windshield with a force that made it hard for me to see the road ahead. The sound of thunder was deafening; I could barely hear myself think. The flashes of lightning that lit up the sky were blinding. It was a chaotic and frenzied scene that left me feeling vulnerable and exposed.

But then, as I approached a bridge, everything changed. The bridge was like a magnificent fortress, towering above me and providing me with a sense of protection that I had never felt before. As I drove under it, I was suddenly enveloped in a cocoon of stillness and tranquillity. The noise of the rain and thunder disappeared, and I was left with a serene silence that was both soothing and comforting. It was as if the bridge had a magical power to shield me from the storm.

At that moment, I knew how to describe you; it was that you were the bridge, my bridge. The one who would always be there to provide me with the calmness and contentment that I so craved and needed in my life. Amidst the endless storm, you were the one who brought me the stillness and serenity that my soul yearned for.

You are the shelter that keeps me dry through life’s storms. You are my refuge in the rain. You’re my bridge while it’s raining.
